I've been pondering about this rewrite for a month or two now. Every year, I rewrite my bio. It allows me to reflect on what I've done, what I'm doing now, and what I'll do in the future. Tonight, I decided that there is no reason to go beyond the next few words, whether they be wise or full of folly.

Some people want to live to be 100 years old. While that's perfectly acceptable, I just want to live. I don't want to waste my days visiting numerous doctors, sacrificing my taste buds drinking shark cartilage & obscure beetle shit smoothies, or dulling my mind by not enjoying an appealing adventure.
Give me my sunshine, my scotch neat, and my blues. I'll make do.

I use an Olympus E-VOLT E300 with the stock lens for the initial pictures, shooting exclusively in RAW format. Lighting wise I use the sun, and a cheap Precision Design flash that "just plain works". For still shots/extended exposures, I utilize a Slik aluminum tripod (you can't go wrong with a Slik, in my experience, as well as the experience of many of my peers). Processing is done on one of my two main machines (one home-built machine, the other a Lenovo Thinkpad T400 laptop) using Photoshop 6 (once again, it "just plain works"), and am currently evaluating the Adobe Lightroom 3 beta (which is an amazing piece of software).
Most of my digital art is put together on my Lenovo Thinkpad T400 laptop, utilizing a Wacom Bamboo tablet for rough illustrations. Software wise, I use Photoshop 6 for photo manipulation and digital painting, and Illustrator CS2 for illustrations and other vector work.
I play a JB Player JB-20-12 12 string, a Republic Duolian resonator ("Providence", as pictured next to me, usually played with an Eric Sardinas Preachin' Pipe slide), a B.C. Rich Platinum model Bich (great neck, comfortable body, not much else to it), a Ventura classical guitar, and an SX Bass (great budget bass with awesome upgradability). I'll occasionally grab a harmonica and screw around, or will play whatever piano is put in front of me. I've still got a Besson 943 Symphonic bass trombone that's feeling lonely since I was diagnosed with TMJ Disorder.
I primarily use an MCA-SP 1 for my mic work, and a Johnson J-Station for my guitar signal processing, both running into an EMU-0404 USB external soundcard. Software wise, I'm using Record (version 1) for recording, and Reason 4 for sequencing and composition, utilizing an old Casio keyboard running on D cell batteries as a midi controller.
