The history of S.E. and WFL's other musical pursuits, aside from his lengthy performance history, is (by WFL's standards) short and succinct. Thanks to the tools available in this modern day to the crafty Consumer, Independent Musicians and Composers are now able to create wonderful works of art away from the standard model used by the Industry - which means more creative freedom.
2001:
- Rusted Metal Tears project conception (solo)
- First single completed and released, titled "Time Killer"
- First album completed and released, titled "Will"
- Second single completed and released, titled "Battle for Reality"
- Second album completed and released, titled "!?. (Exclame, Question, End of Discussion)"
2002:
- RMT project closed
- Rebel Cascade project conception (solo)
- El Avacado conception (lead guitarist (me), rhythm guitarist (kyle), drummer (craig)), first live death metal improv performance, and disbanding
- Third album completed, unreleased (30 songs written, hated all of them), titled "All Good Sheep"
- Rebel Cascade project closed
- Soul Harvest Anthem X project conception (solo)
- Third single completed and released, titled "Coal Heater"
- Work on various game soundtracks
- SHAX project closed
- Fourth album completed and released, titled "Forever" (passed around at college without any band name)
2003:
- Social Engineer project conception (solo)
- Inclusion of Forever as an SE release
- Various single projects, soundtracks, and other misc. work completed, unreleased to the public
- Ambience and Moods, Vol. I completed
2004:
- Soundtrack and performance for theater production, "Spoon River Anthology" (directed by Rod Keown)
- Exposed.2004 distributed around campus (compilation album).
- Renaming of Social Engineer to "Social Engine".
- Completion of full score for the theater production, "A Man Called Peter".
- 3 albums started, to be written and recorded concurrently (Tempted, Ambience and Moods Vol. 2, and a classical arrangements album).
2005:
- Tempted and Ambience and Moods Vol. 2 halted, due to software transitions.
- Rusted Metal Redux album conception.
- Vibrations album conception.
- First live performance at HLG as "Social Engine".
2006:
- Social Engine: Running again.
- "Running Again" EP conception, release of headlining track ("Freedom, AKA Release")
2007:
- "Running Again" released alongside C.S.M.L. pieces as "Completion".
- Work on various smaller musical projects, single releases, mostly to rehearse and redefine the S.E. style.
- Release of the Oblivion Industrial Combat Music soundtrack.
- Preparations began to perform various materials live.
2008:
- Conception of full-length album, "When I Became Aware".
- Conception and completion of E.P., "Tempted and Future Excess".
